Lost Spoilers, Speculation & Gossip

Jack & Claire are siblings on Lost!

Tuesday, March 6th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

lostcastnew.jpg

Kristen from E! has this little tidbit… and while it has been one of the longtime rumored speculations that potentially Jack & Claire could be siblings (remember Jack’s dad knocking on the door in Australia?) it will turn out that they definitely are related… and I’m presuming by sharing the same father.

Jamie in Mobile, Alabama: Are Claire and Jack siblings on Lost?
Big spoiler alert. Yes, they are. And we’ll know it before they do.

WOW! Since we find out before they do, wonder how it will all play out so that happens. Perhaps in that dossier that the Others had on Jack?

Wow! Wow! Wow!

Backward message hidden in Lost episode Not in Portland

Saturday, February 10th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

When I watched the scene where Sawyer, Kate and Alex were rescuing Karl, and I totally thought there has to be either a hidden message or one of those scenes that flashed by on the screen had some other meaning to the show.

First, the scene as we saw it when it aired:

And when it plays backwards:

And if you can’t make it out perfectly, it says “Only fools are enslaved by time and space” repeated five times throughout the scene. Creeeeeepyyyyy….

Airport destroys original Lost scenes by XRaying film

Saturday, February 10th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Ooops! Agents at the Honolulu airport accidentily xrayed original film that was shot for Lost, destroying all the scenes contained within the film for upcoming episodes of Lost, which were the only original copies of those scenes.

Film from ABC’s hit show “Lost” was ruined when security employees at the Honolulu International Airport accidentally X-rayed the canisters despite warnings labels asking them not to.

The show’s crew had to reshoot the scenes because there were no copies.

“This is the first time anything like this has happened,” said state Film Commissioner Donne Dawson, adding that steps have been taken to prevent a repeat of the incident.

The loss will not affect the broadcast schedule for the popular show, according to co-executive producer Jean Higgins.

Higgins declined to say how much the gaffe cost ABC.

No word on what scenes were reshoot… but it raises the interesting question of whether any scenes were changed when they were required to be reshoot because of spoilers released. It wouldn’t be the first time that scenes are reshoot because of spoiler buzz surrounding upcoming episodes, although granted, it usually isn’t because the airport staff screwed up and destroyed it!

Promos, scenes and spoilers from Lost episode Not in Portland - 7 videos!

Saturday, February 3rd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Ok, so it is T minus 4 days until we finally get the second half of the Lost season… and we have spoilers, previews and scenes from the first episode we see after the break. The episode, Not in Portland, is Juliet-centric.

First, here is a full length scene!

And Juliet giving the instructions to kill Sawyer and Kate…

And some of the last Lost moments. This one is number 12, and it shows that Sawyer and Kate do get a boat to get off the island… but Sawyer won’t be so happy with Kate after what she says to him… let’s just say the Jack and Kate fans will be sighing with relief ;)

And a hilarious scene between Sawyer and Jin, who is trying out his newly learned English skills… so we know Sawyer (and Kate?) make it back to the rest of them. Lost moment #11

And Lost moment #9, this one with Hurley and Charlie, and again another funny moment… maybe there will be more of these in the final episodes of the season.

And Lost #10, featuring the much beloved Vincent the Dog making his grand re-entrance to the show, with quite the :ahem: interesting toy in his mouth.

And the final Lost moment, ironically number 13.

Lost exec tries to shut down Michelle Rodriguez flashback episode rumor

Monday, January 29th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

analucia.jpg

So is she or isn’t she appearing on an upcoming episode of Lost? Rumors were swirling around that Michelle Rodriguez (Ana Lucia) was in Hawaii filming a flashback episode, but now the exec producer is denying the story… a month after the rumor got traction and was supposedly confirmed.

Someone who is not coming back anytime soon, however, is Michelle Rodriguez — despite rumors to the contrary. “She was over in Hawaii visiting friends and all of a sudden there was this furor,” he [Cuse] says of recent Web rumors. “We might have her back at some point, but she’s not currently back on the show.”

She was supposedly popping up in another character’s flashback episode that would air during the second half of this season.

So what do you think? I think she will still be appearing, it just seems to coincidental that now they are saying she was simply there visiting friends. I vote foiler!

Lost’s resident dog Vincent about to make a comeback

Sunday, January 28th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

lostvincent.jpg

We haven’t really seen much of Vincent lately, although he tends to make an appearance here and there over random stuff. But Ausiello has revealed that Vincent will be coming back… and for him to make a big deal about it, you know it means that Vincent will be playing an important role in something coming up soon…

Question: Where the frak is Vincent on Lost? Was he on the boat with Michael and Walt?— Casey
Ausiello: No, he’s still on the island, per Cuse, who reveals, “The dog is coming back very soon.”

And it is sooooo almost time for brand spanking new episodes!!!

Charlie’s in trouble on Lost… Sun finds out he kidnapped her

Saturday, January 27th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

lostcharlie.jpg

Ah Charlie, he just can’t get things right. And sounds like things are going to be going very wrong for him again, just when he was back in Claire’s good graces.

Charlie’s about to get his comeuppance for kidnapping Sun last season. “That is getting resolved in an upcoming episode,” exec producer Carlton Cuse tells me. “Sun finally finds out who actually did that to her. It takes place in another character’s episode, but it becomes an important ancillary part of that episode.” Cuse adds that it’s a “reasonable assumption” that the reveal will cause problems between Charlie and Claire.

I wonder how it will get revealed and why that would come about? Maybe it relates somehow with Sun’s pregnancy?

Season four of Lost to run straight through

Wednesday, January 17th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Looks like the producers of Lost weren’t so happy about this season’s split run with such a large hiatus in the middle. They have confirmed that next season will run straight through from premiere to finale.

As for this year’s split “Lost” season, McPherson said the net would run all 22 episodes of “Lost” straight through next year, perhaps starting in midseason (a la “24″).

I know so many fans are pretty angsty over being such a large hiatus (which was originally designed to give a new series a full 13 episode run). Not to mention it coming back at a new time after the break. This will be a good move to prevent future loss of fans.

Lost producers planning the series demise?

Monday, January 15th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

lost.jpg

I hate when producers start talking about the end of a series, especially one I love! But it looks like the producers want to set a series end point, so they can plot things towards to series finale.

“It’s time for us to find an endpoint to the show,” said Cuse, speaking Sunday at ABC’s portion of the TV Critics Assn. press tour. “It’s a struggle for us, because we don’t know if we have three years, four years or more to go. If we had an endpoint, then we could figure out where everything goes.”

Such a move would placate fans of the show, who frequently gripe that they have no indication whether the show’s ever-increasing mysteries will pay off. A set timetable would send a message to viewers that all of their questions will be answered eventually.

“Once we figure out when that will be, a lot of those concerns will go away,” Cuse said. “The worst point is when a show ends and no one cares. We don’t want that to happen. We want to make the shows good for as long as we do the show.”

They also go on to say that episode 100 would be a good end-point for the series. Going at the current rate, episode 100 would fall in the fifth season.

They obviously went into the interview with having the series finale in mind… they talk about other things that have overstayed welcomes (such as X-Files, Harry Potter), something they want to prevent happening to Lost.

Hmmmm…..

Bai Ling joins Lost as mysterious woman in Jack’s past - video promo!

Tuesday, January 9th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Bai Ling is joining the cast of Lost for three episodes when Lost returns from hiatus next month. She is going to play a mysterious woman in Jack’s past, and we will discover that she is involved with Jack’s mysterious tattoos we have seen on his arm.

Ling plays Achara, but while she knows Jack, he doesn’t really know her at all, despite what appears to be a hot and heavy liason that ends up influencing him and his life. Kristen from E asked Bai Ling a few questions, including this spoilerific one.

So, what’s the backstory?
We’re lovers, but I am kind of a mystery to him. He doesn’t really know me. I don’t allow him to visit me, I don’t allow him to know what I really do—we’re together, we sleep together, we hang out together, we’re lovers. And there is a mystery, he never knows what I do. There is also a psychological twist and betrayal.

And now, for the hot and heavy video goodness, which is Lost Moment #8.

Come on ladies, you know you are imagining yourselves in Bai Ling’s shoes, aren’t you?

I must say, Lost is doing a good job at keeping fans interested despite a fairly long mid-season hiatus. Just another month to go, then a new episode every week until the season finale!

New minute-long Lost promo, very spoilerish!

Sunday, January 7th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Here is a great new promo with a ton of clips of the remaining episodes from the third season. It looks like Sawyer and Kate find a boat, Locke launches a rescue party, it looks like perhaps Juliet is betraying someone - will it be Jack or will it be the Others? And a ton more. Watch it now!

If you enjoyed it, Digg it!

Sawyer & Kate get a gun during their escape from the Others

Thursday, December 28th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Have you seen the sixth Lost moment yet? This moment seems to pick up at what should be the first episode after the hiatus. We see Jack in surgery with Ben on the operating table, while Kate and Sawyer try and find a way off the table. And we see Sawyer shooting at the Others who are chasing them… and since they are being chased, does this mean Ben dies or have they just not got the word there is a hostage situation in the O.R. ;)

But there is still a month to go before the first new episode after hiatus airs on February 8th.

Is there a Lost curse plaguing the cast members?

Wednesday, December 27th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

lost.jpg

After Evangeline Lilly’s house burned, the Honolulu Advertiser posted an interesting article about all the mishaps that have befallen the cast members, from stalkers to arrests to the house burning.

From armed home invasions to stalking incidents, speeding tickets to DUI charges — all the way to the inferno that consumed actress Evangeline Lilly’s rented Kailua house yesterday — the good life on O’ahu is proving nearly as treacherous to cast members of the hit series “Lost” as bare-knuckles survival on their mysterious fictional island.

In fact, not since Greg Brady got into supernatural hot water with that evil tiki has a Hollywood show experienced such a run of misfortune.

Someone call Mr. Hanalei!

You can read the full article here.

Not sure what I think about the whole curse thing, because really, there hasn’t been *that* much. And let’s face it, driving while drunk isn’t a curse, it’s straight up stupidity. So blaming a curse for Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros driving drunk just isn’t going to fly in my books!

But it does put an interesting spin on it when looking at the incidents together. But then again, Hawaii is a small group of islands, and Lost is the biggest show to hit the islands, so it makes sense that even small incidents like Josh Holloway getting robbed or Harold Perrineau being followed by papparazzi make headlines there while in LA it wouldn’t even make a mention.

Flight attendant Cindy returns to Lost… as an Other?

Friday, December 22nd, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

ABC has been airing short ten second or so scenes from the second half of season three as teasers, airing during the now-cancelled Day Break. We haven’t seen Cindy since she vanished while the Tailies were heading up the slope… and then right after the group realized she was missing, the jungle whispers began with the presumption the Others had taken her.

Well, now that we see this scene, she appears to be with the Others, since she approaches Jack with a large group of Others, and tells Jack she is there to “Watch”. Now that we know she seems to be an other, it could potentially answer a few other questions… such as if she was chasing down Charlie when the plane broke up, why did she end up with the Tailies yet Charlie ended up with the front section survivors?

Ana Lucia to appear in Lost flashbacks in 2007

Friday, December 22nd, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

analucia.jpg

As soon as I saw the pics of Michelle Rodriguez (Ana Lucia from Lost) jogging on a Hawaiian beach, I thought “Ooooh, I bet she’s filming Lost!” Now it has been confirmed that Ana Lucia is coming back to Lost, albiet in flashbacks only.

No word on what episode(s) she will be appearing in or whose flashback they will be in. She had previously appeared in two flashback episodes, both Jack-centric, where she was with Jack as well as Jack’s father Christian. With so much being focussed on Jack this season, she could definitely be appearing in one of his flashbacks, but they have pretty much done all they can do with the brief airport bar exchange they can.

Aside from the opening five minutes of this season, nothing shocked me as much as when Michael shot Ana Lucia and Libby on Lost. So I am interested to see how this works out.

Sayid and Claire get new flashbacks on Lost

Monday, December 11th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Michael Ausiello has revealed that Sayid and Claire will be getting new Lost flashbacks when Lost returns in 2007.

Episode 11 is Sayid airing on March 7th.
Episode 12 is Claire airing on March 14th.

ABC moves Lost out of the way of American Idol and Criminal Minds

Tuesday, December 5th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

lost.jpg

What to do when one of your top hit shows is up against the absolutel powerhouse that is American Idol? Well, ABC’s solution is to move Lost out of the way of Idol and push it back an hour to the 10pm timeslot instead.

This could be a dangerous move. Lost has done well on Wednesdays, but moving a show marketed as a family drama back as late as 10pm could definitely cost it some viewers. But even so, they will still likely report higher viewership than if Lost stayed in its current timeslot against not only American Idol but also Criminal Minds, which has been beating Lost in the ratings thus far. The last thing ABC wants is Lost coming in third.

Lost also took a huge ratings hit last year when American Idol started up again, and ABC is hoping to prevent that this time around.

But ABC was unfortunately between a rock and a hard place when it came up against American Idol. How will this decision work out for them? Only time will tell… or until the first matchup with both shows airing something new on the same day.

Cheech Marin to play Hurley’s dad in Lost flashback

Wednesday, November 29th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

There are a lot of B-listers I would consider for the role of Hurley’s dad, but Cheech Marin? Yes, the Born in East L.A. is more of a cult celeb these days, but somehow I am having a tough time picturing him in the role of Hurley’s dad. It’s right up there with envisioning Wayne Brady playing the brother of Neil Patrick Harris in How I Met Your Mother.

But then again, Lost can pretty much pull off anything, so I am sure after watching the episode we will all be noting the family resemblance between the two ;)

Cheech Marin will appear in the February 28th episode of Lost, titled “Tricia Tanaka is Dead” which will be a Hurley centric episode and SpoilerFix has the scoop that Mr. Cluck’s Chicken Shack will also be in the episode. And since we now know that Hurley’s Mr. Cluck’s boss was also Locke’s boss at the box factory, we have to wonder if that will play a role in this upcoming episode.

Lost cast members are now action figures from season one

Monday, November 13th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Need some action figures to keep your Star Wars ones company? Well, Toys R Us is carrying a brand new line of action figures based on the characters from Lost.

The Lost Series 1 line, hitting shelves nationwide on Monday, features collectible figures of some of the show’s most popular characters: Jack, Kate, Locke, Charlie, Shannon and Hurley. The collection also includes the pièce de résistance, a hatch playset. The geek-cool detailed diorama depicts the closing moments of season one’s finale, complete with “light-up feature.”

How cool is that?

But where is Sawyer? Apparently he is still in the pipeline, along with Sayid and Jon.

Lost Spoilers for “I Do”, Kate and Sawyer have sex!

Saturday, November 4th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Kristin from E! comes through with the juiciest spoilers for a single episode yet this season.

You knew it was going to happen - Kate and Sawyer are going to do it! And all this in an episode that sees Kate getting married in a flashback.

I had forgotten about the glass eye that was found last season, so bets are on it belongs to Mr. Eye Patch.

Ben’s pants are on fire! And I’m guessing Juliet’s are, too. That seemingly untrustworthy she-devil obviously seems to be a part of a bigger plan by Ben to get Jack to trust someone, but Jules at least was telling the truth when she said this: Ben is a liar, and a dangerous man. We’ve known this from the first day we laid eyes on the artist then known as Henry Gale, when his captor, Rousseau, warned, “Know this. He will lie. A long time. He will lie.” Nutty Frenchy-poo wasn’t so nutty after all, was she?

Speaking of Nutty Frenchy-poo, we will begin to see more of her daughter, Alex, next week, who will have a substantial role this season, and slowly, the revelation of why The Others have abducted so many children. Gaa! And speaking of…

Crazy theory of the week: If Juliet and some of the other Others really do want to kill Ben, why haven’t they just done it? Well, what if that little girl we were supposed to see in Jack’s room in the season premiere (the one ABC had a photo of on the media site) is Juliet’s daughter? Is Ben somehow holding her, and other children, hostage (a la Walt) as a way to keep the parents under his creepy little thumb? Discuss in the comments below!

Patchy McPatchalot (a k a the Sleestak) seen in the hatch video is not someone we have met, nor heard of before. But we may have already seen a part of him! Don’t forget that last season, the Tailies found a glass eye. Coinkindink? I think not! It’s also safe to assume that Patch is at the Flame station, given that the others are taken or destroyed, and the Arrow and the Staff didn’t have computer equipment (at least that we’ve seen).

Coming up: Kate and Sawyer do it! Sorry, but if you Jaters had any doubt on whom Kate will “choose,” I think the promo of next week of Sawyer and Kate ripping each other’s clothing off should give it all away. Come to momma. I’ll hold you.

Also, Jack does operate but I wouldn’t worry about Ben going anywhere (Michael Emmerson is a series regular) and Locke picks up Eko’s cross–and spiritual journey– while a certain TV diva vows to wear black for the rest of the season to mourn her beloved SexAAA loss.

And after this episode, we are stuck waiting 3 months for anything new :(
