The first promo for the new season 5 of Lost

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Need I say more? Here is the first promo for the fifth season of Lost.

Anyone else can’t wait for February 2009 to roll around so we can start finally watching season 5 of Lost?

Oceanic Airlines flying once again & new mini episodes on Find815

Tuesday, January 1st, 2008 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Lost fans have something new to tide them over until the season premiere later this month… Oceanic Airlines has launched their website once again - and started flying again! I wonder if this is somehow connected to that other airplane wreckage we have seen in the new Lost previews?

Be sure to watch the video on the site too, kinda spoilerish but leads to more good stuff, but more on that after the press release from the site.

From their press release, dated December 28, 2007.

Oceanic Airlines announced today their return to the airways. Beginning December 31, operations and flights to nine markets will resume, “Taking You Places You Never Imagined.” Destinations include:

Los Angeles, CA,
Tustin, CA,
Ames, IA,
Miami, FL,
New York, NY,
Portland, OR,
Knoxville, TN,
Seoul, South Korea
Sydney, Australia.

“We are very eager to resume flying and apologize for any inconvenience our temporary closure may have caused our loyal customers,” said Michael Orteig, president of Oceanic Airlines. “Oceanic Airlines is proud to be a top-tier flight provider and looks forward to providing travelers with many more years of unparalleled service.”

The video on FlyOceanicAir also needs to another website, Find815.com. And there is a mini video there too! It raises the question if we are going to be learning more of Sonya’s story. And there is an investigative Flash game at the end of the movie on Find815… take a close zoomed in look at the photo. More chapters and investigations will be released. Only the first chapter is available on Find815 of the 5 chapters total.

Entire three season Lost recap in 8:15 minutes

Wednesday, December 26th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

lostlogo.jpg

Getting geared up for the season premiere of Lost, which is (thankfully!) a mere month away, means another goodie from ABC. This time, they have released an 8 minute 15 second recap of the entire series to-date, meaning if you have missed a few key episodes, or just want a refresher, you can get it all in just over 8 minutes of video goodness.

Ready to get recapped? Go to ABC now to view the video.

And the season premiere of Lost will air on Thursday, January 31st at 9pm. Yes, that is the slot formerly occupied by Grey’s Anatomy, which unfortunately only has one episode left due to the writer’s strike.

Lost’s Michelle Rodriguez starts serving her 180 day jail sentence

Monday, December 24th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

michellerodriguezmugshot.jpg

Another mug shut for the Michelle Rodriguez collection. The troubled Lost DUI curse star checked herself into Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood yesterday.

According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Dept. records, the former “Lost” star checked in to Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, south of downtown Los Angeles, under her given name, Mayte. Michelle is her middle name.

Rodriguez must serve the full stretch in the overcrowded jail, where sentences for minor crimes are often cut short. In November, actress Lindsay Lohan served 84 minutes of a 1-day sentence, while reality TV starlet Nicole Richie was released 80 minutes into her 4-day term in August.

A judge sentenced Rodriguez in October for violating her probation on previous drunken-driving and hit-and-run offenses, and specified that she not be granted work furlough, early release or home confinement.

All this because she didn’t complete her community service, and because she consumed alcohol 3 times while wearing her alcohol monitoring bracelet. How dumb can you be to drink when you KNOW Big Brother is watching?

As you may recall, she was first sentenced to 60 days in jail back in May 2006, but she only served an hour due to overcrowding. Looks like she won’t be getting a break this time around!

We might be waiting until April for the new season of Lost

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Darn this writer’s strike when it comes to the networks pushing back season premieres! And Lost might not premiere until freakin APRIL!!! Say it ain’t so, Ausiello!

I’m hearing it’ll either be February or (egads!) April. We should know for sure later today when ABC unveils its entire strike-imposed sked.

ARG. We’ll keep you posted later Wednesday when it gets announced.

If you are suffering for Lost, we have spoilers for the new season as well as video promos! And don’t forget the mini episodes.

Spoilers for Lost season 4 for the first eight episodes

Thursday, November 15th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Lost has announced that they have eight episodes written and are finishing filming those eight episodes for the fourth season. The eighth episode ends as a cliffhanger, so it could theoretically end the fourth season if the writer’s strike continues. This means that eight episodes could be all we get this season :(

It is also going to severely impact some of the storylines we have been expecting, but also means some of the characters we were going to see may or may not have made the eighth episode cut. Here is what we know so far.

Both Libby & Michael (Cynthia Watros and Harold Perrineau) made the eighth episode cut. And Ausiello feels they are probably involved in the cliffhanger somehow, which doesn’t surprise me! He also hints that three characters are returning for the Juliet-centric episode 6, with the hidden names of *o*****, **h*n, and **. *r*e*d**. So logical assumption is that it is Goodwin (one of the others that Juliet was getting it on with, who was killed by Ana Lucia), Ethan (surprise, lol) and Mr. Friendly (way too obvious!).

Hawaii blog has some great photos from “Fiji”, where the crew have turned Kewalo Basin into Fiji’s Port of Suva.

Is this Naomi’s freighter? Even though she said the wreckage of Oceanic Flight 815 had been discovered in an ocean trench off Bali, the pilot had said he had turned back and was attempting to reach Fiji when the plane broke up over The Island. Or could it be another ship, and another time? Who ends up in Fiji, and when?

Be sure to visit the blog for the great photos.

Episode seven is Sun/Jin-centric, and the Hawaii Blog was there…

The street scene appears to be the exterior counterpart to the toy store scene they filmed the day before. We see Jin come out the door with, yes, a giant stuffed panda bear. He’s helping his plushy new pal into a taxi cab when a guy speeding past on a blue moped knocks his cell phone out of his hand. As he stoops to pick it up, the taxi cab takes off with someone else inside. Jin runs after the cab, yelling angrily, and to no avail. Cursing, he smashes his phone to bits on the street.

The scene, which may very well add up to less than a minute of footage in Episode 4×07, took all morning to film. But despite the rain delays, shooting wrapped after lunch as scheduled. It was a busy day for the crew, to be sure. Many had to rush off to report to the day’s second shoot: a scene with Sun, Yunjin Kim… at a funeral.

And from the wonderful Kristen at E!:

Episode eight, the last script completed before the strike, shoots today through the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, and then that’s all Damelton wrote. Episode eight includes two new characters, Gus and Noreen. Gus is an “inner-city, unruly character type. He’s a sketchy business owner who preys on human weaknesses [and is] happy to exploit any opportunity he sees.” Noreen is “very tough on the outside, nurturing on the inside. Confronted with something from her past, she defends herself well, despite the emotional toll.”

I wonder how the whole eight episodes with a shortened season four will factor into the overall picture with the Lost team planning 48 episodes over 3 seasons, officially ending in the 2009-2010 season.

Hat tip to Lisa, and the confirmation that the skull in the video is one of the infamous polar bears. So the polar bears return :)

New Lost mini-episodes available now

Wednesday, November 14th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

There are new Lost mini-episodes available on ABC, which are new scenes created specifically for the format (so no, they aren’t just deleted scenes from previous episodes).

Missing Pieces are 13 two- to three-minute stories of compelling, new, never-before-seen moments from the hit television show LOST. These newly-created scenes (not deleted scenes from previous episodes) reveal answers and new details about your favorite characters. For each story, we leave it up to the fans to figure out where these pieces fit into the overall mythology. The new stories are from the same creative team responsible for the series and feature the show’s main actors in stories that have all the compelling values that make LOST one of the most popular dramas on television around the world.

They are released every Monday! You can view them at the Lost Missing Pieces homepage.

You do have to wonder if these will be on the DVD being released in December.

Libby returns to Lost in flashbacks in season four

Monday, September 24th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

libbylost.jpg

I had been hearing rumors that Cynthia Watros, who played Libby, would be returning to Lost via flashbacks, and Ausiello has confirmed she will be returning for multiple episodes. And not only will it be someone else’s flashback, but it will fill in the mysterious holes in her own story.

As you will recall, fans also recognized a brunette Libby at the Santa Rose Mental Institute where Hurley was a patient. And she was also the one who gave Desmond the sailboat Elizabeth (Libby’s full first name) that landed him on the island too.

libbylostmentalpatient.jpg

OK, so technically, the ABC hit isn’t bringing Cynthia Watros’ short-lived character back from the dead. But Lost executive producer Carlton Cuse confirms to me exclusively that the actress will be playing Hurley’s dearly departed sweetheart again this season for multiple episodes, presumably in more flashbacks.

“She’ll be in enough of the show for us to fill in the missing pieces of her story,” says Cuse. “We could not be more pleased. Cynthia is a smart and engaging actor, and [executive producer] Damon [Lindelof] and I have some very cool parts of her story left to tell.”

Although I never really liked Libby from the get-go, although I know many of you did, I am excited to hear she is coming back simply to get the missing pieces to her story.

Rebecca Mader latest to join Lost

Thursday, August 30th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Lost has certainly been racking up some new cast members during their hiatus. Rebecca Mader, who also appeared on Justice, has signed on for an unknown number of episodes. So no word yet if she will be playing someone on the island or one of the flashback only characters.

Lost has also recently added Jeremy Davies, Lance Reddick & Ken Leung.

If only the fourth season wasn’t so far away!

Jeremy Davies joins Lost for 8 episodes

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Woohoo! Saving Private Ryan’s Jeremy Davies has joined ABC’s Lost for the upcoming season, where he will be appearing in 8 episodes. Davies played Corporal Upham, a terrified German language specialist, one of the men sent to rescue Private Ryan, played by Matt Damon.

Lance Reddick & Ken Leung all join Lost

Tuesday, August 21st, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Wow, it seems Lost has been ramping up new cast members this season.

Sources confirm that The Wire’s Lance Reddick has been cast in the recurring role of Arthur Stevens, the intimidating corporate-recruiter character I first told you about in last week’s Ask Ausiello. Reddick also had a lengthy arc on HBO’s Oz, where he starred opposite returning Lostie Harold Perrineau.

This comes on the heels of another key piece of Lost casting: the addition of Sopranos scene-stealer Ken Leung. However, the specifics of his character remain shrouded in mystery. Rumors had him playing a brilliant mathematician named Russell, but now there’s buzz that he’s coming on in a top-secret role that no one (save for Darlton) knows anything about. Feel free to get some speculation going in the comments section below. Also, what do you think of Reddick’s casting? Thumbs up? Thumbs down? Thumbs sideways?

It is clear Lance Reddick’s character is a flashbacks-only one, but we aren’t so sure about Ken Leung’s character yet. We will keep you posted!

Lost video showing timing of events leading to the plane crash

Sunday, June 24th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Over the past three seasons, we have seen the plane crash from many different perspectives (who can forget seeing the episode when we realized that the Others had seen the plane crash from their cosy little “town”).

Someone has put together an awesome video of the events leading up to the crash, both on the airplane and by various groups on the ground. Enjoy!

Lost will still be filmed in Hawaii

Wednesday, June 6th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

evangelinelilly.jpg

What would Lost be without the great Hawaii backdrop stepping in for their Lost island? Nothing, that’s what! So rest assured that Lost will NOT be leaving the island anytime soon, despite internet rumors to the contrary. Let’s face it, they still need to be showing off Evangeline Lilly wearing next to nothing ;) Okay, so she is making due with a bra and string bikini panties because she is swimsuit-less on the island, but I am guessing the male viewers would start to complain if the resident hottie wasn’t on a Hawaiian beach anymore!

Charlie will likely be back on future seasons of Lost

Thursday, May 24th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Yes, they killed poor tortured Charlie. But sounds as though even though he is dead (or so they tell us!) he will be back in future episodes, although not in the “present”.

In an interview TVGuide did with Dominic Monaghan after the season finale with the death scene aired.

TVGuide.com: And Charlie will be back in some way again on Lost, right?
Monaghan: It’s really not up to me. I think, to a certain extent, if I was writing the show, we may not be having this interview right now. That’s a question for the writers. [Says Lindelof: “You’ll still be feeling Charlie’s presence very much, although the character is dead. That’s not to say that we won’t see him again. You just won’t be seeing him in the present.” Adds executive producer Carlton Cuse, “If you look at the show, a lot of characters work more when they’re dead than they did when they were alive.”]

And since his girlfriend/fiance is Evangeline Lilly (Kate) it is pretty darn likely he will turn up in a future episode or three. Because let’s face it, how many times have we seen dead Losties pop up in episodes after their death airs?

Lost season finale spoilers - a Lostie dies & flash forwards to life after the island

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

lostcast1.jpg

Gasp! Someone is dying on the season finale…

This post is full of a ton of spoilers, so don’t read more if you don’t want to be spoiled!!!

But first, from Kristen at E!

I cannot wait to show you the Lost finale exclusive we scored! As I’ve been mentioning for a while now, the finale is nuts—there is at least one death and also that big “game changer”—and… big news! On Wednesday night, after the finale airs on the West Coast, right in this very spot, I will have an exclusive, sit-down, on-camera interview with the deceased Lostie (get ready to weep), plus, a Q&A with show runner Damon Lindelof to try and get to the bottom of what it all means. Make sure you check back Wednesday night or first thing Thursday morning.

Rumor on the blogosphere is that Charlie is the one who will (finally, after multiple near-death experiences) die, and death comes by drowning after a grenade goes off.

We also see what we assume are flashbacks, but they turn out they are flash forwards to life AFTER the island. Both Jack and Kate are in the flashforwards, with Jack screaming to Kate that they need to go back to the island.

Now, how did they get off the island? And did anyone else other than Jack & Kate survive?

WOW.

Lost has three more seasons to go before series ends

Monday, May 7th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

The day has come… we now know when Lost will air its series finale, and it won’t be until the end of the 2009-2010 season. That means there are 48 more episodes to go after this season, airing as three 16 episode seasons. I am not sure why 16 episode seasons, standard is 24 or so.

Lindelof, who first pushed for such a move during January’s Television Critics Association conference, said that having a specific date in mind was “incredibly liberating. Like we’ve been running a marathon and we actually know where the finish line is for the first time.”

“What we didn’t know was how long we had to play the story out,” Cuse told the Hollywood Reporter, adding that the Lost brain trust has always known where they wanted the storyline to end up.

“By defining the end point we can now really map out the rest of the series in confidence,” he said. “We sort of view Lost as a mosaic. Now there are only 48 more tiles to go into that mosaic, and we’re figuring out, along with all the other writers, exactly where they go.”

Interestingly, it is set up as two seasons stretched into three seasons, since they are only airing 16 episodes a season instead of 24.

Wonder if they will cancel it earlier if the ratings keep tanking or not ;)

Despite ratings slip, Lost gets fourth season order

Friday, March 23rd, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

With Lost performing worse this season, particularly after the long hiatus break and the change in time slot to prevent an American Idol showdown, it still comes as now surprise that ABC has renewed the popular series for a fourth season.

There is no word on how the fourth season would be structured, but one would guess they’d probably abandon the third season approach that saw fans waiting months between the first few episodes and the remaining ones.

Former Las Vegas babe Marsha Thomason to guest star on Lost

Looks like former Las Vegas star Marsha Thomason has signed up to appear in a recurring role on Lost. Her first airdates will be sometime in late April or early May.

We’ll keep you posted!
